Members of the Marshall Fire Department put out a fire that damaged a parked Schwan’s Home Delivery truck over the weekend Firefighters were called out to the Marshall industrial park around 4 p.m. Sunday. Marshall Fire Chief Quentin Brunsvold said the fire was reported by a passerby. The truck on fire was parked at the end of a row of Schwan’s vehicles, and was visible from U.S. Highway 59. Brunsvold said the fire was likely electrical. “It started in the underside (of the truck), and worked its way into the fiberglass,” and spread to the truck’s sides and roof, Brunsvold said. Products loaded inside the truck were lost, but no injuries were reported, Brunsvold said. The fire did not spread to nearby parked trucks.
