| | Waiting for a trainMarch 10, 2010 - Karin EltonWhen I have waited for a train to pass in Marshall, I’ve had the thought, what if an emergency vehicle had to get through and this train is taking its time, slowing down, stopping, backing up? I thought it probably doesn’t happen. Well, an ambulance that had whizzed by me on Highway 68 going east this morning was cooling its heels at the train track by Cattoor’s. I hoped whomever it had in there was not in a life or death situation. This was the longest wait I’ve ever experienced. Finally, the ambulance took an alternate route and so did I.
