| | Slack talk on a Sunday afternoonMarch 30, 2010 - Karin EltonMarshall was enjoying the lovely weather Sunday and Monday. A lot of people on the streets. Independence Park was hopping Sunday afternoon. Little kids were climbing on the playground equipment and swinging on swings. Grandpas pushed baby strollers. Sunday I played baseball in the backyard with one of my daughters and the neighbor boy. He made fun of the way I pitched. The balls were either too high or way outside. He said I needed to go to “batting school” and he said I was “slower than Carter has liver pills.” When it was my turn to bat he said I “couldn’t hit the brown side of a barn.” In my defense, it is hard to pitch and bat while you’re laughing.
