Be cool in traffic

May 6, 2010 - Per Peterson
Yes, driving in some areas in Marshall has become a pain in the rear axle, but let’s face it, it’s road construction season and there is no reason to complain. Drivers who are affected by bumper-to-bumper traffic at the intersection of highways 59 and 23 or 19 and 23 are going to have to adjust their schedules and allow for more time to get to work or get home if they commute. I’ve seen drivers the last few days throwing their arms up in frustration, while waiting for the turtle-like procession sludge ahead. Be cool, drivers. Don’t get raged about it. It is what it is. I know you’re used to zipping out of town after work and getting home — I can appreciate that. I live south of Marshall and have to fight the fight every day out in front of of the Hy-Vee gas station. But a few minutes stuck in traffic isn’t going to ruin my day. Don’t let it ruin yours, either.
