This weekend’s weather was perfect for being outdoors. I rode my bike a lot around Marshall and almost had the streets to myself Sunday and Monday with so many people gone for the weekend or attending graduations and parties.
Monday afternoon the Marshall police were busy giving people tickets for no seat belts, I’m guessing. At one point on Main Street, I saw one guy pulled over and then on the other end of the block was another car that was pulled over. What a buzzkill for the holiday. People, just wear your seat belts! It’s not that big of a deal to wear one. I felt sorry for the cops who had to work the holiday.
Saturday night I went to the movie, “Prince of Persia.” It’s a fun movie and I recommend it for all ages. It’s on the order of “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Mummy.” The lead, American actor Jake Gyllenhaal (thanks Google, for the spelling), speaks with an English accent as do some of the other actors, but the characters are all Persian. It’s a little disconcerting, but you have to suspend disbelief with almost every frame of this movie as it is and that is just one more thing.
