Taboo subjects

Yesterday one of my daughters said my blogs were boring. That’s ironic. It’s because of her that they are. I’m not allowed to make fun of my family anymore. So unreasonable.

Well, my first family hasn't put the kibosh on me yet. Let's see. Last time we were together — a couple of weekends ago. The two oldest (but sometimes not the most mature) had a little spat. Nancy walked into the dining room from the deck and asked what band was playing on the radio. The younger sister, Dorene, rolled her eyes and said it was the Rolling Stones.

Dorene was disgusted that Nancy had to ask. Nancy got her feelings hurt by Dorene implying that she was dumb. A big discussion ensued.

I said, "Well, you know you should never talk about politics, religion or rock-n-roll."
