Deborah the red-nosed newswriter

I came into the office this morning in a long-sleeved shirt. It sounds crazy, and on a hot, sticky day like today it really is, but I couldn't think of another way to hide the sunburns I got this weekend — all hot pink and shiny from a thick layer of aloe vera. I'm one of those unfortunate people who never tans, ever, and it gets to be a real battle taking sunblock breaks often enough to keep from frying.

So for now, I'll stick to wearing sleeves and collared shirts for my arms and neck. The one thing I can't hide is my Christmas-red nose.
