In my efforts to lose a few pounds, I decided to try a zumba class at the YMCA last Friday. It's kind of like aerobics with a little salsa dancing mixed in. Thankfully I was able to try it for free. I did a few laps around the track to kill some time before 12:15 and then hit the multipurpose room at the Y. A few minutes later there were about 25 in all in the class. Latin music filled the air. We did a few moves and the instructor said that since we were warmed up, we were ready to go. I hear behind me "that was the warm up?" Trust me, I was sweating after those first five minutes. But it was fun exercise with a great beat and high energy. And hopefully I sweated a few calories out of my system. I'm thinking of going again. I need a little salsa dancing in my soul.
