Shopping for the holiday season

November 19, 2010 - Cindy Votruba
Are you like me in being stumped as to what to get your family for Christmas? Especially when said members never give you a hint as to what they want. Welcome to a little more than a month before the holiday itself. A couple of days ago I asked my brother what he would like and he answered with a "we'll figure that out next Friday," referring to Black Friday (a day I'd rather not be out at the stores). Then there's my parents. Usually I can find a Ole and Lena joke book for Dad, but I think we've gotten the gamut. You can't go wrong with Bob Artley's "Season on the Farm" books or Red Green. One year my brother and I got the same Red Green book for him (the brother returned his). My mom is the most difficult because she claims to have "everything." But I'm sure I'll run across something for her. At least Ross is taken care of.
