| | SnowdayNovember 30, 2010 - Karin EltonLiving in Lynd now so I take Highway 23 to get to work. The road was clear and the air was dusted with snow this morning, but was still OK to see. That all change the second I turned into Marshall. It was as if a shade were pulled down almost. Winding through Marshall, at one point visibility was zero. I saw the lights of a big truck just in time to pull over to the side a bit more. I had veered to the middle. Took a side road, Legion Field, to Sixth Street — bad idea. It hadn’t been plowed yet. But I made it to work after one last hurdle — the parking lot entrance was filled with snow. Plowed through that OK, but while walking to the Independent door, I lost my footing for a half second. Finally made it through the first snowstorm of the season — phew! Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
