It's not going anywhere

Every once in a while, I'll see a strange situation described in the police incident reports for our area, but only a rare handful of those are actually funny. This afternoon, I found a doozy as I was working on the crime briefs section. It was a report of an abandoned bicycle found in Marshall, and a note written beside the incident description simply said, "Frozen into river. Will get in spring."

I can't argue with the logic there, but the mental image of a 10-speed entombed in ice is pretty amusing, as is the thought of what it must have been like to call it in to the police.
