| | Snow dayDecember 17, 2010 - Cindy VotrubaAh neglect, how I embrace ye! Yeah, I know, I should try to write in this thing a little more often, but lately I haven't been too inspired to write. Or I just want to procrastinate. And that is why I'll write about what I did last weekend, albeit a week later. The large swath of snow that has fallen in the last half a month has just gotten to me, but yet I persevere. At least Friday was nice until it snowed. I took a vacation day and Ross did too and we went to St. Cloud for the day. Hit up the mall, Barnes and Noble, Northern Tool (not my choice), Goodwill and Pawn America. Had Olive Garden for lunch and then Pizza Ranch in Willmar for dinner. It was a good day until it started snowing. And snowing and snowing and then blowing. Luckily I grabbed some groceries Friday night to prep for Saturday. So what does one do on a snow day? I didn't have to work until Sunday. The roads out of Marshall were closed so there was no getting out of town. It's curl up with a book (finished one of Anthony Neil Smith's books), watch a couple of episodes of "Square Pegs" (yes, I have the complete series) and just vegetate. I haven't had one of those kind of days in a while. It was nice. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
