| | A visit to the Redwood County MuseumMay 9, 2011 - Cindy VotrubaOK, enough slacking on my part...time to blog. Sometimes it's hard enough to come up with material for my weekly column, so this tends to go by the wayside. So what did you all do what seemed like the nicest day of 2011 this past Saturday? For me, it was heading to Redwood Falls with Ross. We were going to hit Alexander Ramsey Park first, but got sidetracked by the Redwood County Museum. Neither of us had been to it, so we thought, "oh, why not." Usually there's an admission fee for the museum, but luckily it was open house weekend Saturday and Sunday, so we got in for free. It's quite roomy, with two floors. You definitely can't see everything in that museum in one visit; not even two. And we had maybe an hour. There's different rooms — schools, Sears, church, toys, clothes, military, even a collection of fans (which I thought was cool, one was a well-preserved one from the late 1700s). Definitely a museum one should check out. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
