I went home for lunch today and turned on the Syfy Channel. I should never have done that because there was an excellent movie that started that I wasn’t able to finish. It was about a ski resort that is located next to a mysterious laboratory.
A beautiful young scientist has received a mysterious package at the ski lodge that a handsome ski instructor was happy to give her. Why didn’t you receive this at the mysterious laboratory, he wants to know. Uh, it’s from my mother, yeah, my mother, and I didn’t want my co-workers to know my personal business, she replies convincingly.
Meanwhile, a giant spider watches the skiers glide down the mountain.
The camera shows what the spider is seeing — a lone, succulent skier. I thought that spiders see in multiple images, but clearly I am wrong.
I had to leave to go back to work but was able to see one spider attack. The spider hopped on the skier’s back. I don’t know what happened then. Maybe the spider just wanted a quick ride down the mountain to get to the ski lodge for a hot toddy.
I have a feeling the scientist and ski bum will not only find they have much in common but will also find time to take care of that errant arachnid too.
