| | Freedom to spend your moneyJuly 21, 2011 - Karin EltonThe modestly-dressed guy in front of me on line at Freedom gas station bought a carton of Marlboro light cigarettes. He gave the clerk $60 and got about $6 back in change. I thought, “$55 up in smoke and wrecking your health to boot.” He also bought a lottery ticket. A codger in back of me, who looked kind of homeless, said, “Oh, can you buy those again?” I said, “Yes, the government shutdown is over.” He said, “I saved a lot of money.” “You were buying tickets?” He nodded yes. I should have stuck around to see if he bought a ticket. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
