That prompted a discussion of what Zubaz were (a zebra-striped pant) and who once owned them. I must admit I bought a pair back in the day. I think they had a purple stripe. Awful. I Googled “Zubas” and was directed to zubaz.com where I learned that the company is still in business. It was founded in Minnesota in 1988. Zubaz is '70s street slang for “in your face.” Zubaz is pronounced “zoo-buzz.” The smallest pair of Zubaz ever made were produced for the Jesse Ventura Action Figure doll with an inseam of 5 inches.
