Walking in Marshall

As I was driving around Marshall Saturday afternoon running errands, I liked seeing all the walkers. I know they were walking around town after attending the SMSU Homecoming parade, but I wished it was like that every weekend.

On weekends in Marshall, it’s like a ghost town, especially Sunday afternoons and evenings. Hardly any stores are open. It was just great to feel all the energy and vitality from the groups of walkers that I saw on East College Drive and elsewhere. For that day, Marshall really seemed liked a college town.
