TV on DVD
November 3, 2008 - Cindy Votruba
To whomever thought up the concept of TV shows on DVD, I want to personally thank. If it weren’t for TV on DVD I would have gotten into such shows as “House,” “Sex in the City” and lately, “CSI” (the original, not New York or Miami).
It seems like almost every show you can think of is on DVD, everything from “I Love Lucy” to this past season’s “Ugly Betty.” There are quite a few exceptions though. If you check out forums on Amazon.com relating to TV on DVD, there is a thread or two about shows that people would like to see on DVD (and it may seem like a longshot for quite a bit of them).
Here’s my wish list of shows I’d like to see on DVD: “Head of the Class” “Chico and the Man” (there’s a “Best of” DVD, but I’d like to see what the show is about) “Cold Case” (this may take awhile, if at all, especially with music copyright issues) “Alice” more seasons of “Night Court” more seasons of “Fame” (I got hooked after seeing season 1) more seasons of “Welcome Back Kotter (same as above) “The Marshall Chronicles” (OK, I’m just kidding on this one. For those who remember this show’s six-episode run back in 1990, you, me and my brother are all kindred spirits)
I’m sure there are others, but I can’t think of any at the moment. So, what’s on your TV on DVD wish list?
