No more snow and cold already!

December 23, 2008 - Cindy Votruba
Can you believe that we had two “blizzards” before the official beginning of winter? Well I sure can.

The first one didn’t seem that bad, but I didn’t venture out much. Saturday’s had a little more kick to it, but I went grocery shopping and a couple of other places. But before I left, I realized I was a bit “plowed in,” with snow packed all around my car. One of my neighbors, who happened to be out with his snowblower, took care of the snow in front of the Jeep as I brushed the snow off the Jeep. It’s nice to have helpful people around, so thanks neighbor!

OK, I’m also tired of the cold! Usually I’m dealing with 30 below windchills in mid-January as I’m doing my two early-morning paper routes (I’m the one out at 4 a.m. with my face mask on and 4 layers). This past week, its been bone-chilling.

But I’m a hardy Minnesotan, mostly.
