| | Online hunting surveyJuly 21, 2009 - Per PetersonHeads up, hunters. If there’s something on your mind or something you’d like to get off your chest concerning hunting regulations, you can do it online, as the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is giving hunters a chance to comment about waterfowl hunting regulations. The DNR is conducting the online survey on its Web site at http://mndnr.gov/waterfowl. Wildlife Section Chief Dennis Simon says the online survey is not a substitute for the department’s periodic formal survey of waterfowl hunters, the Associated Press reported. Simon said it’s another way for Minnesota waterfowl hunters to weigh in on potential regulations for the upcoming and future seasons. The DNR must make its annual decisions on waterfowl hunting seasons in a tight time frame. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announces its regulatory framework in August. The DNR then makes its decisions that take effect in September. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
