| | Goin' to the Car WashSeptember 8, 2009 - Karin EltonFor a thrill, my kids and I went through the car wash yesterday. Many other people had the same idea as there was a long line fore and aft. We got the deluxe package with the tri-color (or “rainbow,” as my kids call it) soap for added excitement. My vehicle is almost 20 years old and kinda leaky so I got a little more excitement than I bargained for. Luckily, I had fast food napkins in the car and pressed them against the doorframe and then washed the inside of the car with the wet napkins. So clever! I told my three younger kids in the car that their older brother would cry during car washes. He was frightened of the big brushes that would descend upon the car. They thought it was funny but I said look at it from a 2-year-olds’ perspective. A car wash can be pretty scary. After the car wash, I told the kids that everyone who saw us driving back home were giving us admiring glances at our tri-colored glossiness. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
