Grace First to have ice cream social Thursday in Russell Grace First Church will have an ice cream and pie social from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Russell Community Center. Daycamp comes to First Lutheran in Marshall Daycamp is offered from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Jul 28-31, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. The program is offered by Shetek Lutheran Ministries of Slayton. The camp is comprised of four days of Christian day camping for youth entering kindergarten and who have completed sixth grade. Each day will include bible study, worship, games, arts and crafts and singing. Daycamp is open to the public. There is a registration fee. For more information or to register, call 532-2429. Bible seminar starts tonight at SMSU A New Beginnings Bible seminar starts at 7:30 p.m. today at Southwest Minnesota State University CH217. The series is free to the public and includes a children’s program and music.

Here's a Thought
I had the privilege of baptizing an adult last Sunday. This is not something that happens frequently in our tradition, as usually we baptize infants at the behest of their parents.
