TMB’s Isaac Dolan throws out Lakeview’s Gavin Laleman at first base in a high school baseball game Wednesday in Tracy. The Panthers defeated the Lakers 8-4.
TRACY — Rallying for the third time, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton exploded for four runs in the sixth inning en route to an 8-4 Camden Conference baseball win over Lakeview Wednesday afternoon.
The win gives the Panthers (10-2, 8-1 Camden) the inside track to their third consecutive south division championship within the Camden.
For the Lakers (7-4, 6-3 Camden), a win would have thrown the top of the standings into a logjam.
Lakeview, which was charged with five errors, held leads of 3-1 and 4-3.
“Tracy is a solid team. You don’t give solid teams extra outs,” Lakeview coach Dave Johnson said. “That’s been our season. When we make errors, they come back to haunt us. If we stop making them, we’ll be OK.”
A throwing error by the Lakers’ shortstop gave TMB a 1-0 lead in the first inning after Taylor Hagberg singled and stole second base.
