Hello Mustang fans! This past Sunday, the Mustang men’s basketball team concluded its season with a great effort against St. Cloud State in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament championship game. I would like to thank all of our Mustang fans who traveled to St. Cloud to support the men’s team. I received many positive comments from the administration at both St. Cloud State and the NSIC office for the number of fans that came to Halenbeck Hall to support the Mustangs last Sunday. The SMSU wrestling team will have three wrestlers competing this Friday and Saturday in Omaha, Neb. at the NCAA Championships. Representing the Mustangs at the tournament will be Brandan Schunk, who qualified at 141 pounds, C.D. Johnson at 184 pounds and Brian Rodas at 285 pounds. Good luck to Coach Nelson and our trio of Mustang Wrestlers! The SMSU tennis team forced four match tie-breakers against MSU-Moorhead on Sunday, but were only able to capitalize on one, losing the contest 5-4.
