Why doesn’t Marshall just institute a wondrous new pulltab game to fund all of its stadium financing needs? After all, the system is working miracles for the new Vikings, uh, I mean “Peoples’” stadium.

The reporter needed to clarify the extent of the Sioux Falls project. Yes, they are going to try to do a 3 sheet facility for an INITIAL $7.7 million. This will get them only three ice sheets, no locker rooms, no spectator areas, no amenities at all. The final fit-up cost is estimated at $11.1 million for all three ice sheets and lockers, seating, viewing areas. This puts it at almost the exact same cost at the SW Regional Center in Marshall. The 4th ice sheet mentioned is completely outside that $11.1 million cost.

And parents will want to drive from Sioux Falls, Mankato or the cities in the middle of winter? Is Marshall that much of a hockey Mecca or is it the shopping

johnlittle Marshall is neither. Marshall hockey is ok but they never make it past sections. MAHA is struggling and not competitive. Shopping is not impressive either. Don't let this be like the Prairie Expo. If you build it they will come (NOT!)
