February 7, 2013

To the editor: In the Saturday, Feb. 2, edition of the Marshall Independent newspaper, I was utterly amazed to see the headline “Representative wants exchange group to have more accountability....

I think the Independent should keep a running tally of agrees and disagrees so we can all see just how unpopular AL, his "ideas" and opinions really are.

You are a fraud, really, you can't spell or use grammar correctly, and your opinions are often mean and wrong. You and Nobama know nothing about economics.

I do apologize if this because you were dropped on your head as a baby or an adult.

AL, just pointing out to the people that you are a fraud, someone with unending opinions not supported by any facts. Towing the conservative line on every topic is hardly unique and certainly doesn't bring any worthwhile discourse to any discussion. We know what you are going to say before you even say it AL, so find another hobby or better yet start a business, hire people, there is nothing stopping you. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get it done.

AL, again you negotiate around the truth. How many people do you employ? How many people do you insure? What is your value again? It certainly isn't to proper discourse. And of course AL as you know since the policy is not in place, and you know that, its hard to see savings. Thank your Bush part D for a big part of your increase.

My wife negotiates health care increases for her school unit and the increases she sees are well in excess of 10%. This leaves the teachers with the option of taking less coverage or paying through the nose. So where are all the savings?

really - as usual you are making stuff up. I am on Mdicare, have been for 7 years and the last two years have been the biggest increases I have ever seen - combination of Part B, Part F, Part D and drug costs under part D. 10% is not an acceptable increase, especially with all the promises that Obama made.

rona, you are not mandated to take part in "Obamacare", you can of course go out and purchase your own healthcare in the free market or keep that which you already have. Do you understand the policy?

Growth rates for insurance cost are normally around 6% in any given year, almost always due to rising care costs, not government policy. Under Bush we had years of between 10-15% increases. It is initially estimated that "Obamacare" may add 1% to the annual increase but it is of course unknown whether this policy will decrease cost and premiums over time, we shall see. ***** all you want it is here, deal with it.

Typical land stewardship project thinking that only their side deserves a seat at the table. They seem to think their way is the only way and everyone is supposed to support it.

I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, but maybe an insurance rep could give some insight as to what's broke with the current insurance system ? I wouldn't want someone who is active in the industry, but someone with industry experience might be beneficial.

Once again, you show your lack of knowledge about how things work in the real world.

rangeral, I'm not familiar with any companies that have been self-insured for years. Could you provide a couple examples?

I agree with Mr. Sobocinski, the idea that we should include insurance industry insiders on the new Health Insurance Exchange Board is absurd. You certainly have to question Rep. Swedzinski's judgement and/or his motive.

All you have to do is look at obamacare and how exemptions were handed out. Plus the obvious fact that the politicians are exempted. There will be lots of places for more taxes and gov control. Thank your representatives like Al Franken for doing this with the next election.
