i am certain that they would accept help if any of you "experts" think that you could do a better job, if only there was some way to help minimize the amount of snow compaction...oh wait how about people NOT driving during times when "no travel is advised" thus giving the plows a chance to clear the roads before it gets compacted

“…there was “some” drifting going on Monday.” Well gee whiz Mr. Superintendent – you’d almost think we had a BLIZZARD, perhaps!! How out of touch can you get?!?!

We need that money for those bridges to no where. I drove by ours the other day and not to my surprise it is closed and not in use. When I was young we would call that like issing with a p in the wind.

I have made that same statement for years. Lyon county & the city of Marshall are one of the worst areas I've come across as far as snow removal.

Somebody please inform Mr. Thomasson, that being ready is a far cry from getting the job done in a TIMELY manner. Traveling both Redwood and Yellow Medicine County rural highways yesterday and then entering Lyon Coutny was like entering a minimum mainanence area. No smow-pack whatsoever until you crossed the county line, but most of us are used to that. Therein lies the problem. Everyone I spoke with didn't act surprised. Maybe the county should just erect signs stating they favor saving money over people's saftey.
