Seems like MHS is addressing things we as parents take for granted after the fact. Disappointing but the weak leadership of our sup and Board is showing. This all to ward off a lawsuit. Lets get new leadership and move our district to a better place.

Should have added - are these distances arbitrary or are they based on an understanding of what educational opportunities exist and their distance from Marshall and carefully drawing that boundary?

I am for supporting local first. Yet, I would love to see the list of educational field trips for youngsters within 30 miles vs those within 100 miles.

I agree. Limiting this experience to 30 miles from Marshall is a pretty small scale. Let's not let 1 situation negate future learning experiences for thousands of children.

I agree Marshall needed to evaluate the current field trip policy to help avoid an future incidents, BUT I hope the policies don't become so strict that field trips are discouraged. That would be very sad. Field trips are important and highly anticipated amongst all kids. Losing those experiences would be devastating.
