Collin Peterson is one of those rare politicians who understands that his job is to represent his constituents, not just his party. Since many of his constituents are sadly misguided he does have to go against the party line from time to time, but that's ok. He's doing what we say we want the repugnicans to do: compromise.

Truly Peterson is a Republican in DFL clothing. He is an advocate for corporate interests, not little farmers. What Bachman's announcement has to do with him? I was waiting for the article to state that he will be the token bipartisan politician to join her next campaign of nuttery.
