I remember when you were afraid to not completely stop at a stop sign. They are all rolling stops now. To speed in town you wouldn't dare. Check Southview drive sometime. This is the slow lack of police enforcement because they have better things to do. Enforce the laws on the books and problem is solved. The only way to make people obey the law is make them pay a good penalty.

Does it really have to immediately turn to blaming law enforcement? What about educating ourselves about the laws and not letting ignorance be our excuse? We shouldn't need to be threatened with tickets and fines in order to learn and follow laws. The desire to be safe should be motivation enough. Believe it or not, the police in Marshall do keep busy. We don't think so because they do a good job and we all get to live as though everything were perfect and our biggest worry in life is crossing the street. Thank you Marshall police, fire, and EMT services for quietly doing a good job and so often taking it in the jaw so that we can live peacefully in our friendly town.
