I use a library in the Plum Creek Library System. I don't care whose book or movie I get when I request something. If everyone shared equally we wouldn't have to worry about whose tax dollar paid for what item. Let's be kind to our neighbor.

90 days is not an unreasonable time to retain a new item at the library it was purchased for.

This squabble is also a good example of how not to conduct library operations and decision-making.

I suggest the two groups get together and resolve this quickly.

"A few days" means that a book would only be at the purchasing library and only one person could check it out and read it before the other libraries could claim it for their viewers.

These are our tax dollars so get the petty parties together and work this out with common sense, which seems to be lacking.

Call each of the administrators and ask how this can be worked out.

This sounds like an unfortunate bureaucratic turf war. If Marshall's 90 policy is a good idea, it should be presented to the other Plum Creek Libraries for consideration instead of "I'll take my marbles and go home."

The Marshall Library got a new building. Sounds like they should get some new leadership.
