It should look attractive, not overly so--it's just a liquor store. But I'm tired of these ugly prefab buildings springing up on the outskirts of town. They bring the character of Marshall down.

Just put up a Morton building and fancy it up a bit. That's what the addition to Wesley Methodist church is....a Morton building!

I agree, that’s a ridiculous amount of money to spend on design. It’s about what one highly skilled architect would make for 18 months of work.

What kind of liquor store are we planning on building? It should be a simple big square box that allows for more room and storage. We shouldn't have to pay an architect $165k to design that. Give me a draftsman any day. There is nothing that complex about the building. This is going to be a debacle. I can just see it. We are going to try and build a Taj Ma Hal liquor store when all we really need is just more room to move around. I bet Valley Discount didn't cost $1.9m to build.
