Editor's column: Shutdown breeds anger, apathy

Don’t be naive and think the shutdown doesn’t affect you in a personal way.

The sun did rise Tuesday morning, just like it always does. Not even Congress can prevent THAT from happening (although a few members probably tried to filibuster the coming of a new day)....

What is there to say commonman. The very tea baggers who want less govt. are collecting pay while forcing others to work for no pay. The tea baggers are all about gridlock and failure instead of compromise and progress. The tea baggers are clueless idiots masquerading as Legislators. The tea baggers stupidity has negatively impacted our nation. With any luck they will all move to Texas, elect Ted Cruz as their Head Dunce and secede from the Union.

No comments? I think it's a shame to "shut down" government on one issue. Of course those "shutting down" government are still getting there checks. Isn't that what happened when we shut down our state government a couple years ago? It's so easy for politicians to "shut down" something when they still receive a check (even if they donate it to charity). Let's be real. Shutting down government should mean cutting off paychecks to those who shut it down.
