Hopefully Ms Kawalek can assist the city in stopping use of toxics in the parks and trails. That would be a healthy city policy. It is hazardous, all the poisons Marshall uses and we have to ingest, and it seems contradictory to worry about recycling and lowering water use without addressing how we foul the land and water what we have.

GreenCorps appears to be an extension of the MPCA as the article states that the MPCA will provide training and oversight. Let's hope that this effort is in the spirit of cooperation and that "helping" doesn't become further regulation and fines on our struggling businesses.
