A warm congratulations to Mary Maertens and her team (especially Marty Seifert)! We are so lucky to soon have this facility in our area. The fundraising efforts really go to show just how well our community can pool its resources and work together to achieve a goal--especially one as noteworthy as a state-of-the-art cancer institute in our very own backyard. I'm very much looking forward to watching Avera Marshall's continued growth. Thank you, Avera, for all you do to provide maximal healthcare services in our relatively small city.

So this is how it's done in the private sector. Simply go to the people for funding. Then again, as long as the building belongs to everyone, bills shouldn't be a problem, right?
