Investigator testifies at Naval Academy trial

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Navy investigator has testified that a U.S. Naval Academy midshipman accused of abusive sexual contact told her he had oral sex in a car with the woman at the center of the case.

Special Agent Michelle Robinson testified Tuesday that Midshipman Eric Graham made the statement in an interview during the investigation.

Robinson testified by video teleconference from Bahrain during a hearing at the Washington Navy Yard to help determine whether Graham and two other midshipmen will face a court-martial.

Midshipmen Tra'ves Bush and Josh Tate are charged with aggravated sexual assault. All three also are charged with making a false statement.

The woman has testified she had been drinking heavily at an April 2012 party and has no memory of having sex with the men that night.

Attorneys say the hearing could end Tuesday after a week of testimony.
