SPECIAL MEETING
May 13, 2008
9:00 AM - Meeting called to order by Chairman Goodenow. Members present: Fenske, Ritter, Goodenow, Nelson, Stensrud, and County Administrator Stomberg, Attorney Maes and Auditor/Treasurer Van Overbeke.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Ritter moved, seconded by Stensrud to approve the agenda. All voted in favor.
Ritter moved, seconded by Fenske to hire Greg Anderson for the position of a landfill operator at a starting wage of $16.08 per hour and a start date of May 14, 2008. All voted in favor.
Goodenow moved, seconded by Ritter to award the landfill expansion bid to Veit in the amount of $3,821,600 to construct an 8 acre cell, 2 leachate ponds and the infrastructure related to the leachate ponds. Ritter - My questions were answered. DeLanghe - I have a couple of comments. If you lived out there you would not think it was run so well. Goodenow - You can ask to be on another agenda. Fenske - We feel we are following the rules. Goodenow - We have outside people check this. DeLanghe - Maybe they are not so hot and what about management? Goodenow - It is not germane to the motion on the floor. All voted in favor.
Ritter moved, seconded by Stensrud to table the four work requests from RW Beck until May 20. All voted in favor.
Ritter moved, seconded by Stensrud to adjourn until May 20, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
All voted in favor.
