Hoofprints - Thursday, December 4, 2008

December 4, 2008
By Chris Hmielewski

It is a busy time of year with the Holiday Season beginning with Thanksgiving last week. Our students are beginning to prepare for their finals coming up in the next two weeks. The campus is buzzing with holiday spirit in anticipation of the winter break.

The PE Building, where the Wellness and Human Performance Department faculty and staff, many academic classrooms, and the locker room area are all located, is still being cleaned and not open to the campus community. The area is scheduled to be open on Friday, Dec. 12.

Service Master is in the process of painting the men's locker room and equipment area, replacing carpet in a number of the individual team locker rooms, and cleaning the remaining equipment from the building. It has been a major undertaking. I appreciate every ones hard work and patience as we head into the final stage of opening the PE Building.

Gold Rush Raffle Tickets Now Available

The 6th Annual Gold Rush Raffle will be held on Friday, Feb. 20. Tickets are just $50.00 each for your chance to win the grand prize of $5,000. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket call the athletic department at 507-537-7204.

If you have not been to the Gold Rush Raffle, you should buy a raffle ticket and join us for a night of fun, friendship and laughter. Every year the raffle gets great reviews from the people who attend. It is a mid-winter social event that you will not want to miss with cash prizes, give-aways, games, and silent and live raffle items. The Gold Rush is sponsored by the Mustang Booster Club and has sold out all six years.
