The Southwest Minnesota State University football team named its four team captains this weekend, following Friday's scrimmage at the Regional Event Center in Marshall. Two offensive players and two defensive players were selected to carry the honor throughout the season after being voted on upon the Mustang players.

The offensive captains selected were senior offensive lineman Bill Noethlich, of Doland, S.D., and senior wide receiver Blake Wilson, of Frankfort, S.D.

The defensive team captains named were linebacker Levi Bullerman, of Adrian, and senior defensive tackle Matt Carmody, of Pipestone.

The season opens Saturday against the University of Minnesota, Crookston in Crookston.
