Hello Again Mustang Fans!

We have already kicked off the 2009-10 SMSU fall athletic season. Mustang football enters this weekend 1-0 with a victory over the University of Minnesota-Crookston last week. The Mustangs will play host to Black Hills State in the 3rd Annual Ag Bowl game at the Regional Event Center starting at 6 p.m. this Saturday.

Mustang volleyball is nationally ranked at No. 8 and has a 4-0 record heading to Denver, Colo., this weekend to face its toughest competition of the year. The Mustangs will play West Florida and Regis (Colo.) on Friday with bracket play beginning on Saturday based on the Mustangs' record from the day before.

Mustang soccer lost in a heartbreaker to St. Cloud State 1-0 and is currently 0-1 on the season. They will have ten days off before playing in the Northern Sun Festival Tournament in Sioux Falls, S.D., where they will play Winona on Sept. 11 and Minnesota-Duluth on Sept. 13.

This weekend the SMSU athletics department will host the 3rd Annual Ag Bowl (presented by Ralco Nutrition, Inc.) on Saturday with the festivities beginning at 1 pm in the Regional Event Center parking lots. The activities include a tractor show, live entertainment, an Ag Olympics (sponsored by the Marshall FFA Chapter), kids activities, lots of food and beverages at the BBQ Bonanza Tent (presented by Hormel Foods).

The Ag Bowl represents the celebration of agricultural in southwestern Minnesota and the agricultural programs (Agronomy & Ag Business) at SMSU.
