Drive through nativity Dec. 4, 5 in Worthington
The Worthington Christian Church in Worthington is presenting the The Christmas Journey (a live drive through nativity) Dec. 4 and 5. This display will feature live animals and real people presenting the Biblical story of Christmas.
The public is invited to view this free drive through presentation from 6:30-8 p.m.
Danebod Lutheran Church to have Danish Christmas festivities
Danebod Lutheran Church will sponsor its annual "Old Fashioned Danish Christmas" Saturday, Dec. 5, in Tyler. From 2-5 p.m. the Julebutikker Christmas shops will be open - sweet shop, meat shop, gift shop and bake shop. From 4-6:30 p.m. will be the traditional Danish supper. Advance tickets preferred by calling 507-247-3000. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for ages 10 and younger. At 6 p.m. Christmas stories will be told by Richard Siemers. A concert/songfest by Glenn Henricksen will be at 7 p.m. followed by dancing around the Christmas tree.
Holiday Bazaar Nov. 21 in Russell
The 28th annual Holiday Bazaar is from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Russell Community Center. Included in the event are a bake sale, lunch, crafts, Tastefully Simple, lia sophia, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay and gift items. The event is sponsored by WELCA of Grace Lutheran Church. Calvary Baptist to take part in Operation Christmas Child
About eight million needy children in more than 100 countries on six continents will receive gift-filled shoe boxes through Operation Christmas Child this year. Children, families, churches, scout troops, schools, civic clubs and businesses are filling shoe boxes now. Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall will participate next week and is the drop off site.
