Ecumenical service Wednesday at First Lutheran
The Marshall Area Ministerial Association has again planned an ecumenical service of praise and thanks for the evening prior to Thanksgiving Day. This year's service will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 25 at First Lutheran Church. The theme of this year's service is "Thank God for Life." It will be a time for hymns, prayers and songs of thanksgiving. Special recognition will be given during the service for all those age 90 and older. The oldest Minnesotan, Ruth Anderson (age 110) plans to be in attendance and the Ministerial Association hopes she will be joined by many others who also will be recognized for the blessing of long life.
At another point in the service, special recognition will be given to individuals (and families) who have served and sacrificed by way of military calling in order that we might thank God for a life lived in freedom. The offering received in the service will go to support the year round efforts of the association to help people in the immediate area meet basic needs. A coffee fellowship will follow the worship. All are invited.
