Big Stone Therapies staff attend geriatric conference
Therapists from Big Stone Therapies, Inc. recently attended the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Strategies conference in Sioux Falls, S.D. The focus of the conference was to provide participants with the most up-to-date information on the evaluation and treatment of the medically complex geriatric patient. Included in the conference was information and education regarding research, evaluation tools, and treatment protocols.
Those attending were provided a comprehensive approach to therapeutic strategies and goals, thereby preparing therapists to design and implement highly skilled rehabilitation programs for older persons.
Therapists in attendance from Big Stone included DPT Lynn Simon, Hendricks, clinic manager; PT Laura Hansen, Marshall.
Therapists who completed the conference received continuing education credits.
Employer seminar offered Dec. 9 in Marshall
Penny Phillips, an employment law attorney, will provide employers an opportunity to learn what they need to know about the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). She will highlight FMLA and ADA laws, amendments and changes, review required documentation, and answer attendees' FMAL and ADA questions.
This seminar will be from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Marshall Fire Hall.
