Traveling Prophet Stamman at Fire on the Prairie

Traveling prophet Tom Stamman of Impact Ministries International will minister at 6:30 p.m. today at Fire on the Prairie in Clarkfield. Service begins at 7 p.m. with praise and worship.

Fire on the Prairie meets at the Clarkfield City Hall community meeting room 904 10th Ave. (Highway 67). No child care is available. No admission fee; free will offering will be received. All are welcome.

Sweetheart dinner Feb. 13 at Holy Redeemer Carlin Hall

Holy Redeemer will be the host of a sweetheart dinner for Valentine's Day, Saturday, Feb. 13. The evening will take place in Carlin Hall and will include social hour, dinner and entertainment. Bob Bartlett will speak on "How to Be Married and Stay Engaged." He has his master's of arts in marriage and family concentration. He is the owner of Christian Marriage Ministries which hosts retreats for engaged couples.

This is a fund-raiser for the Life Force Youth Group. To register, print the registration form on www.gomarshall.net, or call Mary at 537-0757. The cost is $50 a couple. Registration is required by Feb. 5.

Tim Drake to speak at Holy Redeemer CCW meeting Feb. 1 at Hill Street

Tim Drake will speak at 7 p.m. at Holy Redeemer CCW meeting Feb. 1 at Hill Street Place. Drake will speak on St. Paul's Conversion and also his own conversion to Catholicism.

Drake serves as senior writer with the National Catholic Register and Faith and Family magazine. Drake has been a guest on both television and radio. He has appeared on FOX News, Vatican Radio, and EWTN. He is a frequent guest on Sirius XM Satellite Radio's The Catholic Channel, and hosts a weekly radio program, "Voice from the Cloud," on Relevant Radio affiliate KYES 1180 AM. He lives in St. Joseph.

All area women, men and youth are invited.

Drake was originally going to speak last week but has been rescheduled because of the weather. The quarterly CCW meeting will take place following the presentation.

Hymn sing set for Sunday at Calvary Baptist

A hymn sing will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, 500 S. Saratoga, Marshall, (across from the middle school).
