CHS Marshall patrons share in $4.1M distribution at membership meeting
CHS Marshall Regional has nearly 1,300 eligible patrons who share in a distribution of $4,075,646 in cash patronage and equity during 2010 based on business they've conducted with the company. The dividends were calculated on base rates of $.3861/bushel of spring wheat; $.2216/bushel of oats; $.1705/bushel of soybeans; and $.0619/bushel of corn. Dividends
were also based on $.0356/dollar spent on feed; $.0576/dollar spent on fertilizer; $.0496/dollar spent on seed; $.0612/dollar spent on crop protection; $.0576/dollar spent on petroleum products and $.0289/dollar spent on propane.

Murray County hires parks/fairgrounds/aeration director
Justin Hoffmann was recently hired as Murray County parks/fairgrounds/ aeration director. Hoffmann grew up in Slayton and graduated from Murray County Central High School. He attended Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls, S.D., and received a degree in landscaping and turf management in 2005. Since graduation he has been working with Hoffmann Construction and United Postal Service while also owning and operating Green Acres Lawn Care Service.
