Deutz admitted to UMD
Dereck Deutz has been admitted to the University of Minnesota Duluth for the 2010-2011 academic year. He is the son of Charlie and Dawn Deutz of Marshall and plans to graduate from Marshall High School in May.
Tykwinski accepted at MinnWest Pipestone
Neal Tykwinski, the son of Lisa and Steve Tykwinski of Ghent, has been accepted for enrollment in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning major at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Pipestone campus. Tykwinski will receive training in the current technology for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, installing and managing heating and cooling energy systems.
Buhl cast in Augustana's performance of 'Metamorphoses'
Augustana's 2009-10 theater season concludes with the production of Mary Zimmerman's "Metamorphoses." Amanda Buhl, a sophomore from Tyler, has been cast in the production.

Bakker awarded at Mount Marty forum
YANKTON, S.D. -Mount Marty College will host a student reading and PADDLEFISH awards presentation at the College's Noon Forum Thursday in the South Dining Room of the Roncalli Center. Students will read their selected works receive awards. Student award winners include: Bethany Bakker of Marshall.
