Winn completes course

Ed Winn of North Star Mutual Insurance of Cottonwood recently completed the requirements leading to the completion of the Associate in Insurance Technology program, which is an educational program that covers various aspects of Information Technology within the insurance industry.

Winn began working for North Star in October of 2007 and is a programmer for the Information Technology Department.

Avera Marshall announces May Spirit of Excellence Award Winner

Cory Jendro, quality integration specialist and safety officer, has been chosen to receive the "Spirit of Excellence" Award for May 2010 from Avera Marshall.

Each month the award is given to an employee who demonstrates the medical center's values of compassion, hospitality and stewardship.

Jendro has worked at Avera Marshall since February 2007.

Korver to compete in national advertising competition

Kristi Korver, a 2003 Marshall High School graduate, will compete at the National Student ADDY Awards in June, after winning one gold award and one silver award at the District 8 ADDY Award level. District 8 includes the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The ADDY Awards are the world's largest creative advertising competition.

Korver's advertising work will compete against more than 50,000 entries from 15 districts at the National level.

C & C Custom Interiors receives national sales recognition

C & C Custom Interiors of Marshall was recently named as a President's Club Award winner for exceptional kitchens and bath cabinetry sales by Showplace Wood Products. This is the second consecutive year they have been recognized for this achievement, which places them in the top percent of Showplace dealers nationwide.
