Minnesota All-State Lutheran Choir in Minneota June 26, Marshall June 27
The 2010 Minnesota All-State Lutheran Choir, making its 41st annual tour, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.
The choir will perform during the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday, June 27, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall.
About 40 Lutheran young people chosen through auditions from all over the state of Minnesota, will perform a variety of music from the classics to gospel.
The choir has attained wide acclaim with its fine choral technique and unique style of performance and is in great demand each summer as it tours throughout Minnesota. The conductor of the Minnesota All-State Lutheran Choir is Dr. Thomas Rossin.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Second annual Ruthton gospel fest July 4 in Ruthton
The second annual Ruthton Gospel Fest is July 4 in the town park in Ruthton. Attendees should bring a lawn chair. Music will begin at 3 p.m. A picnic supper will be available from 5:30-7 p.m. Evening music will be shared from 7-8:30 p.m.
Bluegrass, old time gospel and hymn singing will be offered by area vocal and instrumental groups. All are invited to attend. Groups or individuals wishing to share music are encouraged to call the Rev. Steve Rasmusson at 507-694-1238.
