Krogen graduates from Hamline

Cory Krogen received a bachelor's degree May 22 from Hamline University, graduating with a major in business administration.

Krogen, a Marshall High School graduate, is the son of Doug and Dorothy Krogen of Marshall.

Area students graduate from Augustana College

Three hundred and twenty-nine students participated in the Augustana College commencement ceremony May 22 at the Sioux Falls Arena.

The following area students received degrees from Augustana College: Emily Ahrendt from Marshall received a bachelor of arts degree (summa cum laude) in business administration; Brittney Boogaard from Marshall received a bachelor of arts degree in nursing; Ashley Brewers from Marshall received a bachelor of arts degree (cum laude) in elementary education; Bobbi Buyck from Garvin received a bachelor of arts degree magna cum laude) degree in nursing; Sarah Fritz from Currie received a bachelor of arts degree in exercise science and fitness management; Terra Goplen from Canby received a bachelor of arts (magna cum laude) degree in music education and all-grades education; Amanda Jenson from Dawson received a bachelor of arts degree in government/international affairs and history; Stacy LaVoy from Tracy received a bachelor of arts (magna cum laude) degree in Spanish and all-grades education; Daniel Moline from Marshall received a bachelor of arts degree in government/international affairs and history; Jenna Obler from Marshall received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology; Jessica Sik from Canby received a bachelor of arts degree in professional accountancy and business administration; Laura Strautz from Marshall received a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education; Emily Thalacker from Milroy received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration; Jillian Tholen from Tracy received a bachelor of arts (magna cum laude) degree in biology and Spanish.

Campion recipient of scholarship from Concordia

Mitchell Campion is the recipient of an Excellence Scholarship from Concordia College in Moorhead. He is a 2010 Marshall High School graduate and the son of John and Kris Campion of Marshall.

Area students were among the 2,848 North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D., students to be placed on the spring 2010 dean's list.

A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify.

Gervais on ISU dean's list

More than 5,070 Iowa State University undergraduates have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2010 spring semester dean's list.

Students named to the dean's list must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.

UMD announces dean's list for spring semester

The University of Minnesota Duluth has announced its dean's list for spring semester 2010. Students on the Deans List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Moon on St. Olaf dean's list

James May, dean and provost of St. Olaf College, named Molly Moon from Marshall to the St. Olaf College dean's list for the spring 2010 semester. The dean's list recognizes St. Olaf students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.

Moon is the daughter of Kenny and Roxy Moon of Marshall.

Nelson graduates from Normandale Community College

Luke Nelson of Balaton was among the graduates of Normandale Community College for the 2009-2010 academic year.
