Enstad receives National Merit High Score Award
Brady Enstad, a senior next year at the Lakeview School, recently received word that his score on the 2009 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test places him among the highest-scoring 50,000 students of some 1.5 million who entered the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Brady's score earned him the opportunity to be referred to two colleges or universities of his choice by the College Plans Reporting Service.
About 16,000 of the more than 50,000 high performers being offered the program will also be named Semifinalists next fall. Approximately 34,000 other high scorers will be designated Commended Students. Semifinalists and Commended Students will be notified of their standing in September 2010 through their high schools. The National Merit Scholarships competition will be held in 2011.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955.
